VI Eastern Europe and Central Asia AIDS Conference (EECAAC 2018)
VI Eastern Europe and Central Asia AIDS Conference (EECAAC 2018), the largest international forum on HIV prevention and treatment in the region, will take place in Moscow on April 18-20, 2018.
The conference is organized by UNAIDS and the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor).
EECAAC 2018 aims to bring together 3000 delegates from 79 countries, among them - world's leading scientists, political activists, civil society leaders, representatives of international organizations and the community of people living with HIV.
EECAAC 2018 activities and events are divided into four tracks: "International Development Assistance", "Science and Medicine", “Effective Prevention" and "Civil Society".
The conference will devote particular attention to the latest scientific discoveries and their introduction into public health practice, the interconnection between science and medicine, conduct of operational research, training and raising the qualifications of healthcare professionals in accordance with scientific and medical advancements.
The Russian Government recognizes the importance of national HIV/AIDS response and considers EECAAC 2018 a unique opportunity to coordinate the efforts of the countries in combating the epidemic through the discussion and development of new approaches in prevention and treatment.
