1st Online Seminar - Integration of molecular profiles in the clinical practice of prostate cancer
The first online seminar, led by Antonio López-Beltrán, professor of pathological anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Córdoba, will be held on February 1 at 2:00 pm, on the theme: Integration of molecular profiles in the clinical practice of prostate cancer.
During his speech, Dr. López-Beltrán will give a detailed view on how precision medicine is changing the clinical practice of prostate cancer. "We will talk about the current state of molecular testing as a support for the diagnosis and prognosis of this disease," says the clinician.
In addition, Dr. López-Beltrán will provide the keys to how precision medicine and liquid biopsy tests can guide the most appropriate treatment for each patient, which can undergo chemotherapy, targeted therapy or immunotherapy regimens.
Dr. López-Beltrán will also share data from a retrospective analysis of about 50 metastatic prostate cancer samples analyzed through complete genomic studies of the OncoDNA database. A case study will be presented on how precision medicine can be successfully implemented in clinical practice.
Antonio López-Beltrán is Professor of Anatomical Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Córdoba and Director of Pathological Anatomy of the Champalimaud Clinical Center. He is also chair of the European Working Group on Urological Pathology and a member of the Panel of Experts of the World Health Organization on urological tumors.
