National Autistic Society; Autism and Anxiety Conference 2018
Anxiety among people on the spectrum can be worsened by limited coping strategies, low self-esteem and vulnerability to stressful events. As symptoms can be so severe, it is important for professionals to understand how they can best support autistic people experiencing stress and anxiety.
With Sarah Hendrickx as keynote speaker, this one-day conference will help professionals develop a greater understanding of autism and anxiety and will provide practical approaches to supporting people they work with.
The conference is a great opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge, learn best practice for supporting children and adults experiencing mental health difficulties, network with experts in the field, engage in debate and exchange new ideas.
Suitable for education professionals, occupational therapists, social workers and support workers, clinicians across the professional field, voluntary sector groups and not-for-profit organisations, and autistic people, their families and carers. With three different streams to choose from, you can select the seminars that are most relevant to your daily work.
